Afternoon Distribution Spreads Community Joy

Later that afternoon, the donation effort culminated in a heartwarming distribution event at MMCC Cornerstone in Pelham, Bronx. Gerald Taylor, serving as Global President of GATE, joined forces with the local team to personally deliver four boxes of donated goods to the educational facility. The distribution was coordinated by Michael Magsombol, who also holds the position of GATE New York Chapter President, demonstrating the strong organizational collaboration between the two civic groups.

The event was further enriched by the presence of GATE founders Dr. Rosemarie Parreno and Dr. Maria Cresly Taylor, who participated directly in the distribution process. This leadership involvement underscored the commitment of both organizations to community service and educational support.

The donation package was comprehensive and thoughtfully assembled, including essential educational materials and refreshments that brought immediate joy to the recipients. Students and staff received:

  • Educational supplies: Folders containing paper, pens, and pencils for academic use

  • Beverages: Sparkling water, flavored water, and sodas to refresh and energize

  • Snacks: Pumpkin crackers and cookies for enjoyment

The abundance of donations was particularly remarkable, with each of the 50 students and staff members receiving two items of each flavor of beverages and snacks. This generous distribution ensured that everyone could fully enjoy the variety of refreshments provided.
